Malaysian Technical Standards Forum Bhd (MTSFB)
On behalf of the Malaysian Technical Standards Forum Bhd (MTSFB), it is with great honour and admiration that we extend our warmest congratulations to the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) on its momentous 45th anniversary. This remarkable milestone not only commemorates the many achievements of APT but also celebrates its contributions to the efforts of telecommunication standardisation across the Asia-Pacific region.
Since its establishment in 1979, the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) has been a driving force in promoting telecommunication standards that foster interoperability, innovation, and sustainable growth. Through its commitment to collaboration and technical expertise, APT has shaped the telecommunication landscape by ensuring seamless integration of diverse technologies and networks. APT's dedication to standardization, evident in initiatives like the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity Standardization Program (ASTAP) and the APT Preparatory Group for World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA), has provided a platform for consensus-building and knowledge-sharing, thus fostering a digitally inclusive Asia-Pacific community.
As a proud member of APT since 2014, MTSFB has reaped substantial benefits from our membership, particularly through active involvement in the Expert Group on Internet of Things Application Services (EG IOT) and Expert Group on Security (EG IS) under the Working Group Service and Application (WG SA) in ASTAP. Our involvement in ASTAP has enabled us to submit 4 papers where 3 were accepted and has provided us with ample opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange and capacity-building particularly in technical codes development and beyond. Through participation in various working groups within ASTAP, we have engaged with experts, industry stakeholders and regulatory bodies from across the region, fostering a collaborative environment that is conducive to sharing best practices and co-creating innovative solutions to address evolving challenges in telecommunication standards development.
Furthermore, our participation in ASTAP has enabled us to share and contribute research papers, case studies and technical insights with fellow members, enriching the collective knowledge base and driving continuous improvement in our standards development efforts. More importantly, the knowledge gained through ASTAP is not confined only to international discussions and perspectives but is introduced and adapted to the local scene. Through effective dissemination and adaptation, the insights and solutions shared in ASTAP are tailored to suit Malaysia's unique needs and challenges, thereby enhancing our efforts in modifying and producing technical codes hence contributing to the advancement of Malaysia’s communication and multimedia industry.
As we celebrate this significant milestone, let us reaffirm our collective commitment to advancing telecommunication standardisation as a catalyst for sustainable development and inclusive growth. By harnessing the power of technology and collaboration, we can build a brighter future for generations to come, where innovation thrives, connectivity flourishes and opportunities abound for all.
Once again, congratulations to the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity on its 45th Anniversary. May APT's legacy of excellence, innovation and collaboration continue to inspire and empower us across the region.
