Asia and Pacific Office
On behalf of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Asia and Pacific Office, it is with great honor and pleasure that I extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) on the auspicious occasion of its 45th Anniversary.
Since its inception in 1979, APT has been instrumental in shaping the telecommunication and ICT landscape across the Asia-Pacific region. Your unwavering commitment to enhancing regional cooperation and fostering sustainable technological growth has significantly contributed to the development and progress of telecommunications and ICT in the region.
Continued and interference-free access to frequency spectrum is critical to aviation safety, capacity and efficiency. APT has been working closely with the aviation community for decades in addressing radio frequency interference, promoting ICAO Position at World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC), and exchanging experiences on ICT planning and implementation.
The ICAO Asia and Pacific Office appreciates the pivotal role played by APT in navigating the challenges posed by the rapidly evolving telecommunication and ICT environment as well as consolidating regional voices for international fora such as Conferences of International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Your efforts in facilitating knowledge sharing, capacity building, and the implementation of cutting-edge technologies have been invaluable.
As we celebrate this milestone, the ICAO APAC Office reaffirms its commitment to continued collaboration and support towards APT’s endeavors. We are confident that APT will continue to lead and innovate in the telecommunications sector, steering the Asia-Pacific region towards greater heights of success and connectivity.
Once again, congratulations on your 45th Anniversary. We wish APT continued success and look forward to many more years of fruitful cooperation.
